Hi Paul,

Page 25 the description for the token TITLE is: "Displays a label containing the title of the product. The title of the product is a property created by concatenation of the product number and the model name.".
It should be: "Displays a label containing the title of the product. When used in a product list, the label is enclosed by an anchor pointing to the detail page. The title of the product is a property created by concatenation of the product number and the model name.".
I will correct the documentation in a next version.

To create a link to the detail page with the product number, you can add this to your template: <a href="[PRODUCTDETAILURL]">[MODELNUMBER]</a>

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Found two ways of doing it.

1) Use the [TITLE] token. That concatenates the model number and name ([MODELNUMBER] - [MODELNAME]) and wraps a link to the detail page around them.

2) If you don't like the format the [TITLE] token produces, you can make your own link. Say you just want the [MODELNAME] token in the link, you can do it like this. In the relevant template, add the following link:

<a href="[PRODUCTDETAILURL]">[MODELNUMBER]</a>

Hi Gilles,

Thanks for the reply. I only noticed it after my previous post ... worked out that I can use the  [PRODUCTDETAILURL] token to make the link. That's a flexible solution, I like it.

Hi Paul,

I'm glad to help! They are also some usefull tokens like:

  • IMAGEURL: Can be used as a parameter for a script to display product image
  • LOCALE: Can be used to concatenate part of a file name to create a localized file name ("MyFile_[LOCALE].jpg" > "MyFile_en-US.jpg)
  • TEMPLATESBASEURL: Used to build path to a sub folder ([TEMPLATESBASEURL]Scripts > ...\Portals\n\Store\Templates\Scripts)
  • IMAGESBASEURL: Can be used to build a path file name to a background image ([IMAGESBASEURL]"Mybackground.jpg" > ...\Portals\n\Store\Templates\Images\Mybackground.jpg)
