I need to add an extra text box and need to update the database too. This is for Shipping Instructions which is provided by user when ordering a new product. This should be in Checkout page with confirm order button. Please can you advice me which tabales,Stored procedures and which project files need to update?

tnx,

PM

Hi,

There is no 'good' place to do this. It depends if you need just one instruction field by order or one instruction filed by product in the order! If you just need one field by order then the logical place should be in the Store_Orders table. Otherwise, you should add your field in the Store_OrderDetails table.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi,

Please, remember than I'm NOT paid to provide support NOR to develop the module! It is particularly unpleasant being questioned in this way. In the future, it would be pleasant to NOT require an immediate response. Do you work for free? If you need such kind of immediate support, you can request for a quote.

I did the changes as you requested and It works for me. I added my shipping instructiuons in the confirmation page for the order table. You are giving a great support and I really appriciate it. But I need to know one thing. Can 't I ask such questions in this forum. I just wanted to know. I do not know that I have made a bad request from you. If it is so then sorry for me. Thank you again GIlles. You have done a great work.!  10/10 points.
