When I try to access the Admin..Skins page, or Hosts..Module definitions...  I get these errors:

I'm not sure how long this has been going on. The external site works fine...  I tried reverting to a November setup, then an October setup, then and Sept setup... now I'm going to August.

I don't think the admin and host menus have been broken this long.. but I don't manage this site that often.  Is there anything I can do to repair this other than rebuilding the site from scratch?

I had to revert to an OLD DNN install 4.9.2

The errors were on all old backups that were DNN 5 and higher.

When I upgraded to DNN 5.1.4, I got an error:   00:00:21.984 -   Updating Config Files: 05.02.00 Error!

I figured out that I had to take out <location inheritInChildApplications="false">  and </location> from my web.config to get the site to upgrade properly to DNN 5.1.4

I figured I could just add it back in after upgrading to DNN 5.1.4.  The upgrade worked, but it broke my child applications.  When I try to add the <location inheritInChildApplications="false">  tag back in, it fixes my child applications but breaks DNN.

Also, I noticed in DNN 5.1.4, the "app_offline.htm" no longer works as a method for letting people know you're updating the site.  Is there a new method to do this?
