How do I Remove "Export to Desktop Event: Single  Series" from Events Detail view? I am using version 5.00.02 of the events module.

There isn't a way to hide these through standard options in the module. However you should be able to make them invisible using css. I'd have to look up the exact syntax.

If you wish to do this, take a copy of one of the existing themes, rather than editing the ones provided.
