Hello,

I am new in programing with asp.net and DNN... so maybe this is a stupid question:

I will get a random image as background-image behind my menu. For that I installed BTBRandomImage. I can configure it and use it normally in the left/content/right pane. Everything works, BUT: I want to use it in the header part of my page, where I can't add any module.

What would be the right way to be able to add the BTBRandomImage module to my header section? Or is there any chance to give some special data in the default.ascx? Or is there any other module to use it easy for the menu/header section?

Now I put this code in the default.ascx, but of course there is missing something:

<%

@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="BTBRANDOMIMAGE" Src="~/DesktopModules/BTBRandomImage/BTBRandomImage.ascx"%>

<table>.....

<

tr><td colspan="3">hier nach sollte das RandomImage kommen: <dnn:BTBRANDOMIMAGE runat="server" ID="?what?" _moduleID="404" /></td></tr>

.....

</table>

Thanks in advance,

K.M.

You only can use SkinObjects in your skin, Erik demonstrated a while ago, how to develop a module and skin object from same source.

If the module is not available as skin object, provide a pane in this place to insert the module without a visible container and apply it on all pages.

Thanks for your answer.

Where can I find the information how it works to create a new pane? Any documentation from DNN or threads in one forum?

Regards

K.M.
