Hi Team,

I have installed DotNetNuke 5.0.0 at c:/inetpub/wwwroot. when i type http://localhost/dotnetnuke the site is getting loaded.

My requirement is when i give my machine name (http://myMachineName/) or IP(http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/) the the dotnetnuke must automatically start. without specifying like this http://myMachineName/DotNetNuke. Hope i am clear with my requirement.

Simply i want to make my DotNetNuke as Default page. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Narendran,

you need to install DNN in the root of the IIS web site, not in a virtual subdirectory.

IIS root is c:/intpub/wwwroot only right

Or it is c:/inetpub

Which is the root directory.

root directory is specified in IIS management, by default it is c:\inetpub\wwwroot.

I have installed DNN in wwwroot only.

Is it possible to hide the URL, say fo example.

I have given a server a name example naren.

when i enter 'http://naren/' it is routing to to 'Http://mymachineIP/dotnetnuke/default.aspx

i dont what the file name to be shown and all my site must load like http://naren/, how many pages i may go, the url has to be http://naren/

Thanks,

Narendran.S
