Hi all,

I've been toying with scheduled tasks and learning how to configure them, from all the tutorials around and have been very successful in that regard.

what i've required, which wasn't available - at least i didn't find it - was information about Portals through the PortalController, Users through the the UC and others.

Is there a way to do it?

I've built a library which supplies information like that, which can then be accessible to any application.

Would you guys have any other way around that or is that the solution I should stick with?

Cheers

sorry, scheduled jobs are running out of process in a separate thread and do not have access to portal context - this is a known limitiation.

Exactly what I thought, that's why I've pulled out some of the core functionality. Do you think this would be a good contribution to the community?
