I think I figured out why it is working for you nad not me.  I am using opendns instead of my ISP's dns servers because opendns is faster and more reliable.  That being said, opendns recognizes that \ are not valid in URLs so it is stripping them.  Checking with using default ISP DNS, the images show up because the browser is replacing them with /.  Still something that needs to be fixed in a future release, but at least i know why I was unable to see them when you were.
