When I first installed my site it was super fast, now it seems like the more content i put into the slower it gets.  Can some explain to me what i have to do to speed up my site?

  • Which DNN version
  • how are the performance settings in host settings?
  • do you use caching in module settings?
  • How much ram is available for your site?
  • did you truncate database transaction log?
  • did you truncate eventlog, schedulehistory, sitelog?
  • did you review scheduler jobs not running too frequently?

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

I host my own DNNs and have found that if I increase the site caching to moderate and disk, that the page loads are MUCH MUCH faster. You might give this a try.

HOST >> HOST SETTINGS >> PERformANCE >> ADVANCED SETTINGS >> look for cache settings

Set to: Disk, Moderate, ServerAndNoCache, No Compression

if you have a lot of RAM in your server, you can switch to Heavy caching and may use authenticated caching and gzip compression as well.
