For some reason I can't wrap my brain around this, but when someone adds an event and checks the Reminder option, who gets reminded of the event?  All registered users? Only registered users who have checked off Notify Me?  And regarding Notify Me, would the person get an email every time a new event is added regardless of whether the Reminder option is checked?

The Notify Me option at top (or bottom) of the module, notifies users whenever a new event is added.

For reminders of an event (which is an email that goes out a set time before the actual event), the user must request notification on the event detail screen. There have been various requests to have this so it is a 'push' to a group of users, rather than a 'pull' (i.e. the user has to request notification), so I can see some enhancements being made in this area in the future.

Thanks, Roger.  That's what I originally thought but I tripped myself up when I modified the Event Details template -- I inadvertantly took out the code for "Notify Me for this Event".  Since I couldn't see the link, I got confused...  Yes, I am my own worst enemy sometimes!  Thanks for clarifying. -- Joan
