Can you try using Add Event from the module menu (arrow at top left of menu), and see whether you get the same error? Could you also try clicking on the moderate button (you may need to enable moderation in module settings temporarily) to see if you get the same error.

Also in Host Settings can you see what permissions you have. I would expect - ReflectionPermission, WebPermission, AspNetHostingPermission.

Under Host->Module Definitions->Events Module the permissions textbox is blank.

Add Event -- goes fine.  No problems with this or moderate (as long as list view isn't enabled).

Just wondering though, does Moderate fail when you click the button rather than the menu item?
