It seems no matter what my settings that it passes "United States" as my country. When at the payment page if you click continue it gives the credit card form. Fields are pre-populated. my user email is there as well as my first and last name but the country is UnitedStates. my user's address is Japan.

bump

I would really appreciate some feedback on this. I may have to look into another solution for my site since I can not land my clients on a suitable payment page. Imagine if you were shopping and wanted to by something but the page was all in Chinese. would you give up?

Mark

UPDATE:
looking through the source code on "PayPalPayment.ascx.cs line 213
CultureInfo ci_enUS = new CultureInfo("en-US");

so this being hard coded I will always land on an English page correct?

Hi Mark,

No, this is not correct.
I do not use paypal anymore, but in the past, when a customer paid trough paypal, the store used the Dutch paypal site.
So I think that your problem has nothing to do with the paypal settings, They are correct.

I think your problem has to do with the language detection of your computer.
For example:
I ' am located in the Neterlands.
I use an English version of vista.
The ie explorer is English
My settings in Vista are Dutch.
The Settings in DNN are Dutch.
When I browse to my site (here in te Netherlands) the browser shows my site in the English version.

I Navigated to your site.
I cannot read what you have displayed :-)
Only that you have in the upper right the register link.
This link is in English.
When I click this link the registering is in English.
Do you have a correct japanese language pack installed?
Is it maby better to enable the Englisch language.?
What are the setting in your operating system?
Instal a translate module?
Locopon has I very good free translate module at

With regards, Ton

I hope it has all to do with my Vista language... because that is the only setting that is not ja-JP....
the site associated with my user profile is not the site in question. The site in question has a full ja-JP language pack and I even went so far as diabling the en-US local so there would be no chance of DNN passing en-US to paypal. all my other settings are ja-JP.

But here is where things get wierd. I user BizModules Media Gallery to sell image on another portal. This module only passes currency information to pay pal and when I arrive at the payment screen it is in Japanese...

I guess I will have to go to a friends place and use a PC with Japanese Windows...

Thanks for the response

Mark
