Sean

All the zooms are zero . When I open the data page, click on new and type in lat and long values, click save, it says "fetching data" which dissapears but no point is added to the list. I'm pretty sure this used to work a few weeks back, even on DNN 5 , but i noticed my added points disappeared from my map a week ago,and assumed something had changed at the google end, as i had changed nothing on my portal.I still have a test protal running DNN 040902 which has the additional points showing , however it lets me add a new point on the data page, but doesnt display it on the map. Very strange behaviour.

Sean -first I'd like to say thank you, the dll did the trick and now I can add markers.

Unfortunately, it has exposed another problem. I too can not add markers to my map. I get the same result as the other poster, when doing an address lookup in the data tab the lon/log results are returned but upon saving nothing seems to be recording in the database. After "fetching data" a short "updating record" also displays for less than a second but once refreshing the data tab, nothing is retained.  I have tried with both zero zoom values and with 15, as well as testing a few other numeric values -all attempts have yielded zero retained entries.

Did a bit more digging and found a few clues, maybe:

Looked at the table dbo.Map_Points and it was empty. I manually created an entry, then went back to the Data tab within the Maps modules and the entry was present. Next I tried to update the entry via the web page but again the same thing happened, no change. Specifically I altered the pop-up window with modified text, clicked on save and "fetching data" follow by "updating record" quickly flashed. I  refreshed the page and none of the modifications stuck. I tried to delete the record, again nothing.

Finally I used IE8 debugging tools and it trapped an access denied on lines 505-508 of map.js

I'm not sure if that's related, but one thing for sure, is that this table is not editable via the module for whatever reason.

Suggestions?

Following further tests I now see the following:-

DNN 040902 - Using standard PA , points added okay, however the additional points only show when a user is logged in, not as a guest.

DNN 050001 - With conversion string dll fix, can add initial point, but unable to add additional points at all.

I'm sorry guys, as you can tell I've been busy on other things recently.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to try and come back to this later this week and see if I can help out a bit more..

Regards,
Sean
