For the life of me, I'm not able to find where to edit locations.

Just how do I get to the Edit Events page?

Admittedly an embarassing question, but the closest I seem to get is in Edit Module where I see that EventEditCategories.ascx is the source.

Any help would be appreciated.

if you have admin rights and the page is in Edit mode, the Edit locations can be reached by the action menu (top left of the module container), which should contain an option "Edit locations".

The Add Event is also on this action menu. Edit/Delete event are available from the Event detail display.

If you are using a skin-container that has a token for the actions, you will get a list of posible actions within the container as well. Please note that the containers in the skin of DNN 5.x/4.9x do not contain such a token, they are more clean. The previous default DNN skin did have a token in the container. The upcoming release of Events 05.00.00 does not rely on the token in de container anymore.

Hi John,

Just to expand on Ernst Peters answer a bit further.

The Edit Location (and Category) option appears on the action menu for admins and module moderators (configurable in the module settings). These items do not appear at the bottom of the container as well if there is an action token, only Add Event appears at the bottom (as well as the standard change view options).

In Events 5.0.0, the view buttons as well as Add Event and Moderate appear on the icon bar included inside the module, so we no longer need the action token. We have not moved Edit Locations/Categories these will still only appear on the action menu at top left of the module.

Note the action menu only appears when you have a container displayed for the module, or you are logged on as an admin.

See here for some more details about the Iconbar - http://www.thedivingclub.co.uk/Information/DNNBlog/tabid/368/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/105/Events-Icon-Bar.aspx

Cheers
Roger
