setting the zoom level in the interface panel worked. I didn't realize it was in reverse. Thanks for the clarification.

As for the data entry edit screen

Hi Chris, I have changed my map to be centered on the same location as you, with the same initial zoom as you and with the default display type as hybrid. Entering the same data point as you results in the map point displaying correctly on my map so I'm thinking that by process of elimination it must be another setting that's causing the problem. So let's go through them...

On the General Panel, I have the Visual Provider set to Google.Standard.

On the Interface Panel, I have No Initial or Retry delays set.

On the Data Source Panel, I have the Point Description format set to "[DESCRIPTION]" (although leaving this blank still renders the point data). I also have Data Source settings set to Standard Data Points and I have used Execute Geo Coding prior to saving the page.

On the Data panel, I have the single entry as shown by your JPG image.

On the Geo Locator panel, I have a copy of the Google API Key from the General Panel na din my case, I have ticked all of the boxes next to the address attributes, although I don't think they are used. Might be worth checking them to see if it helps.

Please check all of these settings and let me know if you have any differences. Try my settings if they are different to yours and let me know the results.

Fingers crossed!

Regards,
Sean

Hi François,

OK, I've found the problem with your map. Thank you for helping me by putting all of the information in the PDF document.

The problem is simply that you have accidentally mixed up the Latitude and Longitude values for your Map Point data. Swap these values over and you should find that your Points are rendered correctly.

Let me know if this is not the case, but it has worked on my copy of your map!

Beautiful part of the world by the way, I've been skiing in Siviez a couple of times!!

Sean
