Hi;

I have scoured the forums looking for some help with my issue but as of yet, I haven't found anything. I am using DNN v.4.04.01 and trying to get the news feeds to work by using the Articles Module from Efficon Consulting. It is my understanding that this is compatible with DNN. I want to set it up so that users can subscribe (RSS) to my new articles with the click of a button. I have turned on syndication for the module in the settings.

Nothing ever seems to get published. I checked and the DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler, DOTNETHUKE is running and set for every 30 minutes. IT appears to be working fine. There are no error messages.

What am I missing? Oh, when I do click on the XML button to subscribe, I get the following:

Town of Hanna

Town of Hanna

None of the articles are even listed.

Thank you

Laurie

does the content show up in portal search? RSS is using the same interfacr, i.e. it will not work if iSearchable is not implemented correctly and activated in Module Definition (check this in Host :: Module Definitions menu item). Does RSS work for other modules (Core Announcement, Blog, ...)?

I'm not certain where I am supposed to be checking. I went to Host::Module Definitions:: then clicked on the pencil icon beside the module I'm concerned about. That takes me to Edit Module Definitions. If I scroll down, I see Definitions - with a drop down menu and then underneath that, new definition. The drop down menu for Definitions has only one definition in it. Articles. Is this the area you are talking about? Should I be adding another definition with controls? Can you expand please?

Also, RSS does not work for other modules. I haven't tried the Blog as I'm not using it but the Core Announcement, Text modules don't syndicate.

this sounds like an issue with search indexer on your site - are you able to find any content in portal search? you might also try to clear search index as described here.

content is returned when I search the site but no content from the articles module.

I have cleared the search index as described and an hour later, still experiencing the same results.
