I have a question regarding sub domains.

Basically I have 2 DNN installations, these have drastically different versions of custom made modules that we need to keep seperate.  However I want to use the same base URL for both instances of DNN but different sub domains for the portals.  Is this possible?

To clarify a bit.  I want it as follows:

Site1.DomainName.com on one portal
Site2.DomainName.com on another portal.

But DomainName needs to be the same.

Both installations are on the same server, but with different IPs associated to them.  I tested this on my own.  Site2 resolves properly, but Site1 just goes to the default site of the 2nd installation.  Site2 is the one I created first so I guess the base DomainName.com is sticking there, though I don't have it assigned to any portal.

Any help is greatly appreciated.  If further clarification is needed please say so.  This isn't the easiest to explain.

Absolutely possible.

Just point site1.domainname.com to one IP and point site2.domainname.com to the other IP.

Then in Dotnetnuke make sure on portals under hose you have the proper domain name listed as a portal alias.
