I've got no idea how to do this. There is a search function within our site allowing people to find specific details. The most recent info is available only in a pdf and I have no idea how to like it to the search function or do I need to manually type in all the information somewhere else.

Major confusion for a beginner, any help would be great.

I don't believe the default Dotnetnuke search engine can search into files. However, there are others that can.  One that comes to mind is built by Venexus.com.

I have used it in the past and it has worked very well.
