I have DNN installed and running just fine.  But I want to be able to create another part to my website which is a Visual Studio 2008 website and have it available from links in DNN.  I have already done this with one page (www.pchenry.com/Search) but that is one page and very isolated.  So I know I have the aliases setup properly (for the search page at least), but when I goto do the samething for a website I can run within VS08, I get an error message from DNN saying it can't find assemblies.  The webapage is http://www.pchenry.com/mcts/.

I hope this is something I can easily rectify.  I tried playing with a web.config setting (something about code directories) but that didn't help any.  Also, I would like to just drop a directory into my virtual site (yup IIS is configured properly) and have it working (albeit outside of DNN but that's ok for now).

Any ideas on how to make this happen?  Any help would be apprecaited.  Thank you.

When you setup the new folders for the non DNN application you must be sure that they are setup as virtual directories inside of IIS as that will then isolate them from the DNN side of things, and will prevent DNN from affecting the folders.

Your other option, which I prefer if possible is to use a subdomain for the "other stuff".

Thank you for the reply.  I've already done as you suggested (created virtual directory in IIS) but when I load up the new app I get errors about not being able to find the assemblies.  When I've got the code all within the page/code behind, everything is good (ex www.pchenry.com/search), but as soon as I use a virtual directory with code behind files that use other namespaces (all within the same project) DNN can't seem to load them.  I've narrowed it down this specific use case scenario and am unable to figure this out.  Do you have any other ideas (I hope you do! :>).

Thank you.
