Kind of an urgent situation here. About six months ago I developed a portal called "Mining". The project was shelved until now. But now I can't get that portal to show up. The default website shows up but I don't know how to navigate to the portal. I looked in Main_Portals table and it appears to still be in the database. And I looked in the dnn folder structure and found this...

Website\Portals\_default\Skins\MINING

So I think everything is in place. When I navigate to the website I just get the default portal. I don't know how to find my MINING portal.

What is the portal alias in the database?  That's normally how you get to it.  As for the /skins folder, that's only the skin for it, the rest could have been deleted.

There are two entries in Main_PortalAlias. One for portal "0" and one for portal "16". Portal "16" is the mining portal and it points to 215-821/mining. But that URL just takes me to the default portal not the mining one with the mining skin.

Under the Portal/16 folder all of the images and documents that I had uploaded are there as is the Portal.css file. It looks like everything is there. How do I go about getting it to work as a website again?

I think I got it!!!

I just created a new alias (could be anything) and then went to this URL...

http://215-821/Mining/Default.aspx?alias=215-821/testmining

And all my content is there and it looks good. Yippee!

I spoke too soon. The main page works but when I click on any of the tabs I get 404 error :(
