Hey all, absolutly new to DNN, I'm trying to use the DNN Forum Module in an existing ASP.NET 3.5 website, is there an easy way to do this, I've seen/read about installing modules after 'logging in' etc...but....not sure that helps or 'how' that helps me with an existing site.

The forum module readme.txt just states "- Install this module as any other DNN private assembly.".....no offense but, that's pretty weak.

Is it nessary to become a fullfledge DNN guru before I can tackle just using the forum? Or, am I in brain dump mode and missing the 'easy button' somewhere?

Thanks for all/any help given,

bwj.

While it may be pretty week, it is a DotNetNuke Module, which requires it to be installed on a DotNetNuke website.

The source code is available, I'm sure you could convert it to run on a non DNN website, but I wouldn't waste my time, there are plenty of other forum applications out there that would run on another asp.net website.
