Hey,

I have the chat module installed on my website. I use it to give support in real time to visitors. Since theres only 1 person monitoring this chat room it has no use if i'm not online. So i was wondering if there is a way to only show the module if a certain use / usergroup is online.

Appreciate the help

Thanks for your reply,

Is it possible with other modules? Cause maybe i can use  a link in a Text/HTML Module that directs to the page where the chat module is. If i can hide the Text/HTML Module based on what user / usergroup is online. The solution doesn't need to be secure, just generally people shouldn't be able to get there without having the direct url.

Or maybe there is something i can do with the "include in menu" setting of a page. To dynamicly change it based on online users / usergroup.

Appreciate any help you can give me. Maybe some other wierd work arround i haven't thought off :P

Well, you can easily change the rights on a page (in page settings) to only show it to people having certain roles. Those without the rights to view the page will neither see the link in the menu.

Does that help?

Thanks for your reply but, thats not what i meant.

Support via chat only works if there is some1 to talk 2 :P. So i don't want people to get in the chat room if their are no Admins online.

If an admin is only the link is active for everybody and if the admin is offline the link is hidden for everybody. :P

Does that still make sense? Appreciate any help you can give me in this matter :)
