Hi I have hit a brick wall.

I was considering seting up a store to sell products in DNN- we just updated to 4.8.

I noticed I can set up modules - categories store- catalogue- store admin

I have set up a categore and catalogue entry. Currently I have it set up so only registered users can see this page- but when I go in there are two problems-

on is the catalogue module and catalogues come up UNDER the whole page (I am using the same template on alaivani.com througout)- so it's coming up under the copyright note on the bottom. I am not sure how to move it into the main part of the page.

Secondly, I sign in as a registered user to try to buy and when I click on "ADD TO CART"

I get this error report-

A critical error has occurred.
Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster.

I tried also to set up a Pay Pal pay now button and tried to update code as per what some other forums have said - to exchange the form tags for another code, but I think the pay pal code may have changed since before. If anyone knows what I can do with below code to make it work because it's not as is- pay pal may be easier- at least these modules are staying in the main part of the page!!

PAYPAL CODE=============================================================

<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">

<input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">

<input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynowCC_LG.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">

<img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1">

<input type="hidden" name="encrypted" value****moderator edit - value removed as it should not be shown in public forums***">

</form>

=================End Pay Pal Code

Thank you so much. Eager to fix this problem!

Hi Jennifer,

Please read the chapter 3 (other chapters are about the source version only) of this post for install the Store modules.

Your problem about the catalog module that come under the whole page is probably related to your skin. Did you try with the default DNN Blue?

I can't register to your web site. If you can create an account for me (glepigocher AT yahoo.fr), I could have a look to your problem. Don't forget to give the right acces to your Store pages too.

Gilles

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
