Any plans to support the Verisign PayflowPro provider within the core Store module?

I have not used the Verisign PayflowPro provider.  What can it do for us?

It's just another payment gateway.  Currently the Store module only supports AuthorizeNetProvider and PayPalProvider.

I'd like it if the store had plans to support another payment gateway, the "Verisign Payflopro" gateway.

Is this in the works?  I have to pick an ISP for a DNN site based on which payment gateways it allows.  The fact that DNN only supports two gateways is severely limiting my options.

Paypal recently acquired the Payflow service from Verisign.  It is my understanding that Paypal intends to roll all their existing customers into their existing service and discontinue Payflow, however, there are some large banks who do a lot of business through it that may force Paypal to keep it around for existing customers.

Regardless, if you are shopping for a new gateway, I would reccomend looking elsewhere, at least until the Verisign/Paypal deal gets worked out.  I don't expect the Payflow service to be around much longer.

I also assume that most of the development time is being invested in the core product, rather than extending the gateway support.  That's what the larger community is for.  Pick something unsupported and try writing your own!  I bet you'd find it easier than you might imagine.

Here, here! Greg has created a white paper on developing payment providers for the DNN Store. You can get it here. Get it, read it, and create the next great payment provider.
