Gilles and Team I need to add two more statuses to my store implementation - first is "Delivered" and 2nd one is "Complete". I added these values in "storeorderstatus" table and also to the "CustomerOrders.ascx.resx" making sure both of them they match, but still the store would not go beyond 7th status which happens to be "Cancelled". How can I add 2 more statuses on top of the existing ones?

Please guide. I thank you much, help is much appreciated.

Hi Sid,

You can't add more status without modify the source code. The “delivered” statuts seems to correspond to the existing “Delivered” statuts. I do not understand the difference between "Delivered" and "Complete". For me when an order is delivered it's over, then the order is completed.

Gills, thanks for the reply. however CURRENTLY there is no "Delivered" status for the order. Current statuses are :

Processing
Awaiting Payment
Awaiting Stock
Packing
Dispatched
Cancelled
Paid

 

So basically we can only track until dispatched, but when we need to notify our customers that the order has been delivered - there is no status that corresponds to it? how do we address that?

Complete status means that if the order has been requested for refund or was in dispute for what-so-ever reason it has been addressed and resolved and now the case is closed.

I wonder why did they make it code driven and not dynamic. It obviously makes sense to make all such lists configurable by the user.

Now that I am stuck, can you guide what and where do I need to change to add these two order statuses?

Hi Sid,

I KNOW there is no "Deliver" status! I write "seems", then if you want to change the term you can do it with the standard DNN language editor.

For your requirement, you have to modify the source code and loose the future compatibility.
