Please keep us posted if you do this - and thanks for offering to do it - I'm sure there are a lot of us who would appreciate this. If you need help testing just shout :)

Any news on this ?

In the same line of thought re digital products, another nice feature would be to allow the store to sell subscriptions to the site. Create a product, assign a DNN membership role to it, and once the user has purchased the product (ie. membership), you can automatically assign them to that membership role and they then have access to the subscribers section.

Looking forward to seeing if this can be done.
