Is there a way to remove/reissue incomplete or failed orders?  I was running a test against the PayPal sandbox.  Errors were encountered on the PayPal side.  So, what I'm left with is orders that are (and will stay forever) in the "Processing" state.

Hi Brian,

There is different way for remove/reissue an order when PayPal gateway is used!

If you want authorize your clients to cancel orders, you have to check the setting "Authorize Cancel" inside Store Admin module first. In this case, when a client display his account (Store Account module) and click on "Order history":

  • If an order is in the status "Awaiting Payment", "Awaiting Stock" or "Paid", then the "Cancel" command link appear near to the "Details" command link.
  • If the client click on Details for an order, a button "Cancel Order" appear if the order is in the same status than above.

When PayPayl gateway is used, a client can reissue an order if this order is in the status "Awaiting Payment". In this case, when the client click on "Details" for an order, a button "Pay Now With PayPayl" appear in the detail page.

The Store Administrator can not reissue an order. On the other hand, he can change the order status of any order. Go to Store Admin module, click on Orders, select an order by order number, client, or order status. On the detail order page, select a status then click on Save.

When the status of an order change, the Store Administrator AND the client receive an email with information about the new status.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
