Hi there,

I'm using Store 1.0 and i built tokens for Manufacturer, ModelName, etc. to use them instead of PoductTitle. Now i'm stuck in how to compile everything. VS2005 doesn't work on this.

Thank you,

Ioana

Hi Ioana,

WWStore 02.01.01 and the next Store 02.01.00 have a lot of new tokens and properties. Both projects has been converted by me to the WAP model for VS 2005. I can't explain here because it's too long, but this require a lot of work.

Hi Ploum,

Thank you for answering and thank you for the great job with this DNN project. From what i know, WWStore was already released, the Store_02 not yet.

Can you advice me ? What should i do? Struggle to change the code on Store_01 so it fits my needs or go with WWStore?

I thought it wouldn't be such a big deal to create another token. I productDetail.cs i put another  "case" for Manufacturer, since the Manufacturer member is already defined in the code:

case

Label lblManufacturer =

lblManufacturer.Text = productInfo.Manufacturer;

"MANUFACTURER":new Label();return lblManufacturer;

 Isn't enough ?

Thank you,

Ioana.

Hi Ioana,

You'r right, WWStore 02.01.01 is already released on www.dotnetnuke.fr, Store 02.01.00 is in the relase tracker. No one can tell you when it will be released!

In all cases, I would NOT use Store 01.00.01. Because it's a too buggy version. I will try WWStore 02.01.01, thus you will have a good idea of what Store will be. Because WWStore is the same code base than Store, only names are differents. Then after, you will have two choices: wait for the official release or start to work with WWStore. Don't worry about the future, I will provide an SQL script for migrate data from WWStore to Store when it will be released.

The good news is that you don't have to modify WWStore for doing what you want! I have already do the job, here the new tokens list: IMAGE, EDIT, MANUFACTURER, MODELNUMBER, MODELNAME, TITLE, LINKDETAIL, LINKDETAILIMG, SUMMARY, WEIGHT, HEIGHT, LENGTH, WIDTH, SURFACE, VOLUME, DIMENSIONS, PRICE, VATPRICE, PURCHASE, PURCHASEIMG, ADDTOCART, ADDTOCARTIMG, DESCRIPTION, LOCALE, TEMPLATESBASEURL, IMAGESBASEURL, PRODUCTDETAILURL.

I think that their names are rather clear, not? Please stop to loose your time, try WWStore! The only requirement is to use DNN 4.4.1 or above. Download WWStore_02.01.01_Install.zip and WWStore_02.01.01_SkinObjects.zip, install both files like any other module. In less than an half hour (for download and install it) you can have what you need, why waiting any more?

Just a question, from which country are you?

Gilles

Hi Gilles,

Thank you for spending your time with so many explinations. You are definetly right and i'm going to follow your advice today. I thought i might be able to adjust the code in the other version but, since i've just started with asp.net, would be a time consuming indeed.

I'm from Romania, but right now i live and work in New York. But i'm damn proud of being european:)))))))). And this project made me even more proud:).

Your name sounds 100% french.

I'm learning asp.net but if i can help with anything else, i would love to. Just let me know.

Ioana.
