Hi,

Tief betrübt (thanks translator!). I was a little bit irritated yesterday evening, sorry! There is just a little part in English for explain how to install the module. Note, you must be registred on the web site and this part is in French. It's not really hard, but if you can't download it send me an email (my address is in my profile, click on ploum in the left column) and I will send you the files by email. We plan to create a full English web site too.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Gilles,

Planning on making an english website aswell.

Don't get me wrong but isn't that going to be double work? I mean the WWStore module is the basis for the upcomming store release here from the project team.

Does this mean that you will be developping this module further alongside the core store module?

Thanks,

Marc

Hi Marc,

You'r right, it's a double work for me and very time consuming!

As you know the primary goal of the Release Tracker Program is to increase project quality. But, as you know too, this is a loooooooonnnnnnggggggg process! Too long IMHO, because I think this kind of module is strategic for a company. What do you think about me if after having discovered a bug, I said to you "Wait a few months for the next version"!

I do not have simple solution. We (French community and I) do not want to be a source of problems, we simply try to reunify both projects. For this reason, we cannot name our version "Store". I had proposed to use only one name (Store) and to regard my version as being a beta version, and that the official version is the "certified" version. That would have been simpler for me, because I would have had only one version of code, but that was refused. I do not have any decision-making power, I am not member of Core Team, nor even Team member. If we manage one day to reunify both projects on the same version, then I would stop developing WWStore. While waiting, I board not other choice to only continue.

Gilles

So because you're from the French community, they're not letting you work with the English community's Store team? (*looks for puzzled emote*)

Hi,

No, no! I think that's because the team was renewed some month ago and it took times for being "included" in a team. I work closely with Will (Store Team Leader), but I'm not a team member. In other words, I'm like you: a simple user.
