Hi,

I want to create auctions. It's specific kind of store (minimal price, bid, etc). For example I want sell 5 different domains. I need one category (domains) and some details for each. Client could give me a price for domain and if this price is great for me I could accept transaction and finish this auction. All users can see the highest price.

I never used Store Module, could I use it for my solution?

Hi,

Sorry but the Store module can't be used for auction! If your are a good developer, you can try to modify it, but this require a lot of work! I do not know an other store like module with this feature.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi radiring,

I was able to run a basic auction by using a combination of the ODSForm module and the Reports module. That allowed us to accept bids and display the leading bids, but required some manual configuration for each auction item, particularly since the ODSForm module can't copy an instance.

I used the UDT module to display the list of auction items, with a greybox implementation to load each item's bidding in an overlay.

Probably not the best solution for your situation, but does allow for limited auction functionality, and might offer some ideas.
