I can't seem to find any answers for this. The knowledge base link doesn't seem to be working and after a quick google, someone mentioned that there was a solution there.

Anyhow.  My problem is that the DNN install in the virtual directory underneath the home dir install of DNN is reading the home dir install's web.config.  This is preventing me from installing the dnn in the virtual directory.  Both DNNS are in seperate folders.

I've made this work with other apps ie. a website and then community server forums in a VD beneath it. So is this a bug with DNN?

Still stuck here. Is it even possible to run DNN as a virtual directory under an existing DNN install in IIS?

It inherits the parent DNN's web.config file and buggers everything up.  I even tried copying the entire parent dir to the virtual dir and when I hit the VD it just redirects me to the parent dnn. :(

I just need to know if it's possible, or am I just wasting my time.

Thanks in advance.

Its not a bug - but it is a restriction.

Your example of this working is not a direct comparison as you have a different app in the subfolder than in the root folder.
