The current feature set is very similar and depending on what you are trying to do either could work.  The one advantage of the DNN Store is that you have the use of a full featured Portal.  With the Commerce Kits you just have the store, but with DNN you have a great web portal that offers a store. A good example is that you can have your whole website Corporate Info, Services, Contact Page, etc along with the store...  Again, it is all about what you want/need.

Is the beta version available for testing?  I am itching to look at it to help make a decision on using it rather than purchasing one of the other store modules through snowcovered.  Where can I download the test version?

No there is not a beta available yet.  We are doing some last minute fixes and then we hope to release next week (assuming nothing goes whacky).

Further, I would like to add, having a DNN Module, you have all the simplicity of adding/removing the Store Instance, without going through Installtion of seprate Webproject and maintaining the DB & all (I am afraid, it is also a huge daunting task ). Plus, last but not the least, I guess, this DNN Store, you would be able to use it on ASP.NET 1.1 (i.e. DNN 3), without upgrading to ASP.NET 2
