This session shows how you can leverage the new services framework to build applications that have a client-side (i.e. Winforms) application talking to server-side (i.e. DNN module) apps in a secure manner. I plan to demonstrate how a winforms app can use the authenticated web request to send messages to the server (and change data). A DNN module will manage this data and the permissions are managed by the site's administrator. Using Fiddler we can examine what happens and how digest authentication kicks in and provides a safe way to expose our module's functions.
