Well, I'm leaving for Redmond this afternoon to interview with
Microsoft on Friday (see this post for some background if you need it). It's very exciting, but I've noticed that I don't
feel nervous in the same way as I do for other job interviews (I
hesitate to say I'm not as nervous because I'm probably more nervous,
its just a different nervousness). This is something I've dreamed about
for most of my life (since my dad taught me Visual Basic 3 when I was a
kid, yes some kids played in the playground...I learned VB3 :D)
well...that and starting my own software company and becoming the next
Bill Gates (at least when I was younger). So, I'm finding that I'm
nervous but much more prepared that I was for other interviews. I've
been coding for nearly 10 years (though only actually programming for
about 4 of those, the rest was playing around) so I'm confident that I
have the technical knowledge, as well as some experience and though I
still have a lot to learn I really think that its time for me to go for
it!
Expect a post soon with the results! Thanks again to the
whole DotNetNuke community, without this
experience I may not have felt ready to do this now.
P.S.,
I'll still be working on Reports, at least until next summer! Version
4.4 is very close now to release (a couple bugs cropped up in Security
Auditing, but those will be fixed next week and the module will be back in the Release Process) so I'm starting to plan for Version 4.5 (or 5.0, haven't decided on the version number) so
