How do a disable the manage subscriptions on the communications tab (profile edit)

Hi there,

I know about the setting in the user management settings to disable manage subscriptions,

unfortunately it does not seem to be working with the grid on the communications tab.

Is this a bug or am I just missing another setting somewhere.

Any help would be much appreciated.
