Digital Asset Management Module as Media Picker

Is it possible to use Digital Asset Management(DAM) in a custom module as Media picker? Our requirement like follows.
1. On browse button click Show DAM as a Popup window from a module
2. Get DAM selected file path from the parent page. Media Picker like functionality

Any Suggestions please let me know.
