Azure Compatible
Since DNN V6.0, the DNN Core has been compatible with Windows Azure, specifically SQL Azure.
Windows Azure compatibility is maintained throughout all new release of DNN.
Extensions being written for DNN should be developed as Azure compatible to ensure maximum portability between Azure and on-premise hosting.

Azure Folders
DotNetNuke 6 introduced the concept of
Folder providers , which allow the DotNetNuke filesystem to work with different storage locations. The professional edition contains an Azure folder provider (and an Amazom S3 folder provider).
Windows Azure Websites
DNN is available as a deployable application using the Windows Azure Websites functionality. You will require a Windows Azure subscription to create a Windows Azure Website, and can then choose DNN from the list of applications.
