Codeplex is a Source Code repository, provided by Microsoft for Open Source projects. It is utilized by DotNetNuke to distribute Community Edition and Core Extensions, including all previous versions. The DotNetNuke Project on Codeplex page is a good starting point to locate core or core extension downloads.

In addition a number of talented independent developers provide free extensions for DotNetNuke (and beyond) on Codeplex - DotNetNuke extensions are usually tagged with either the DotNetNuke tag or the DNN tag.

For each project, Codeplex provides a download page, source code repository, discussions board and issue tracker.

Relationship

In late December 2008, DotNetNuke partnered with Codeplex to enable the DotNetNuke Extension Forge. At that time, all DotNetNuke downloads were transferred to Codeplex which had previously been hosted at exclusively at SourceForge. This was a landmark partnership which would make it possible for DotNetNuke Corporation to provide services for and promote a common community repository for open source DotNetNuke extensions. All Codeplex projects which are part of the DotNetNuke Extensions Forge bear a small DotNetNuke logo on Codeplex and are listed in the DotNetNuke Extensions Forge.
