Best way to redesign an existing live site?

I have a live intranet site with 192 pages, which is running the old Dark Knight skin. I want to update this to Hammerflex.

What's the best way for me to accomplish this? It will take some time to amend each page, delete redundant pages and update the site for the new skin.
